Most people live lopsided, unbalanced lives. Too much work, too many meetings, commitments and running to and from appointments.

In between, we barely breathe, yet continue and probably sleep incorrectly only to repeat the cycle the next day. Efficiency techniques, stress relief tips, vitamins and medication treat but only the symptoms. It increases our speed but we remain with the very same problem.

Perhaps it’s time to consider a different approach, perhaps ‘intentional work life imbalance’.

Let’s start with simple notions: A blame mentality is common among most people as a response mechanism; especially at work. ‘Pass the buck’ has become an automated response, a habit that leads to a culture of disjointed teams and organisations. Blaming, both empowers and dis-empowers.

How do we take responsibility? How do we take ownership? It’s difficult to consider solutions without examining if “free will” exists or not; and if so – how could we move forward. Most motivational speakers are certain that if you change your thinking, you change your life. What if science proves that that free will is an illusion; how could we still make better choices?

What choices do we have that can better influence our speech, actions, beliefs and non verbal behaviour.Awareness of these facts, considerations and choices leads to a meaningful life.
